Rachel Henze
Hello!
My name is Rachel Henze.
I have a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and an undergraduate minor in Sustainability. I have decided to continue my education at the University of Minnesota, going for a master's degree in Architecture.
I am very passionate about sustainability and what that looks like to design professionals. In the future I hope to implement thoughtful sustainability into my architecture and interior design projects.

My Story
I was born and adopted from China. I was raised in Iowa and have chosen to stay within the midwest states for school. Someday I would like to live on the east coast.
Out of high school I wasn't sure what profession I wanted exactly; I just knew I wanted to work in a creative field. In my last semester of high school I took an interior design class and decided it sounded like fun, not exactly sure what I was getting into. Four years later and graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stout I've grown to love the profession and developed a passion for sustainability within the built environment. My experience at Stout propelled me into graduate school at the University of Minnesota. I want to study architecture to learn more about sustainable design and how architecture impacts the urban setting. One day I'd like to work at a firm that lets me contribute both skill sets to create cohesive, sustainable, and thoughtful commercial building designs.
